Scrap-it-Lift-it: Lift No 8


This is the first time I am participating in a Scrap-it-Lift-it challenge. I tried to stick very close to the original layout, however, I added another personal challenge: Except for the black cardboard, scissors and glue, I could only work with Christmas cards and their respective envelopes (including stamps, stickers, etc.). Some of our friends will find part of their cards here:) A couple of years ago I started to get rid (or recycle) Christmas cards because it was just insane to keep every single card every single year ... that´s boxes full of cards. I love to receive Christmas cards and I certainly cherish and display them over the holiday season, and it is wonderful to hear from those that we otherwise would have lost touch with, but at the beginning of the new year, all cards need to go (except of course if letters, photos, etc. were included).


Dies ist das erste Mal, daß ich an der Scrap-it-Lift-it Challenge teilnehme. Ich habe mich so nah wie möglich ans Originallayout gehalten, aber noch eine zusätzliche Regel hinzugefügt: außer dem schwarzen Cardstock, Schere und Kleber durfte ich nur Materialien von Weihnachtskarten und deren Umschlägen (inklusiv Briefmarke, Aufklebern, Stempeln) verwenden. Einige unserer Freunde werden Teile ihrer Weihnachtskarten hier wiederfinden:) Vor ein paar Jahren fing ich an, mich von alten Weihnachtskarten zu trennen (oder sie zu recyceln), da es einfach unmöglich war, über Jahre jede einzelne Weihnachtskarte aufzubewahren. Ich liebe es, Weihnachtskarten zu erhalten und ich stelle sie auch während der Weihnachtszeit auf, besonders die, die wir von Freunden erhalten zu denen wir sonst keinen Kontakt mehr hätten. Aber im neuen Jahr müssen die Karten weg (außer natürlich beigefügter Briefe, Fotos, etc.).


Esto es la primera vez que participo en un concurso de Scrap-it-Lift-it. Me quedé muy cerca del original, pero me puse una regla adicional: aparte del cardstock negro, las tijeras y pegamento sólo pude usar tarjetas de navidad y sus respectivos sobres (incluyendo los sellos, pegatinas, etc.). Algunos de nuestros amigos van a reconocer parte de sus tarjetas allí:) Hace un par de años comencé de tirar (o recyclar) tarjetas de navidad, porque quedó casi imposible guardar todas las tarjetas de toda la vida. Me encanta recibir tarjetas de navidad y me gusta recibir noticias de gente con quien normalmente no tenemos más tanto contacto, pero en el año nuevo, las tarjetas tienen que irse (menos si hay cartas, fotos, etc. incluidos).
